Farfalle Pasta Feta Bake
I always loved pasta, mostly as a vehicle for the sauce. But in the last year I’ve come to love pasta for being pasta. I learned how to make homemade pasta dough, roll it out, shape it, and pair it with the right sauce. This took a lot of trial and error, but now I can do it by feel (hint: Play-Doh texture and stiffness). In this particular recipe, I was trying to do the Feta Tomato baked sauce made famous on TikTok years ago. The end result was just OK in taste. Probably won’t repeat.
As for the photography, I focused on getting pictures throughout cooking to showcase the ingredients and the process. I used natural afternoon light on my kitchen counter and then table for the final dish. I love photographing (and eating) tomatoes because that red just pops in natural light. Also, the farfalle or bow tie pasta was beautiful in its uniform rows, which is probably my favorite photo from this series.
